Bio

Chanhwi Kim is working with Dr. Timothy Miller at Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH) and Harvard Medical School (HMS) as a visiting researcher. His research focuses on BioNLP and Clinical NLP, utilizing EHR and real-world data. He earned a B.S. in Biotechnology from Korea University. After graduating with his B.S., he worked at a pharmaceutical company as a clinical trial manager before pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering to study biomedical NLP. Initially interested in data mining from unstructured biomedical data, he is now focused on interpreting unstructured clinical data and predicting patient outcomes or diagnoses using data from diverse modalities.
